LEFTOVERS FROM SEPTEMBER 6TH

FROM ELDER DONNIE POHL:

I am so thankful to come to church and be able to fellowship with my brothers and sisters in Christ. We gather as a body to worship our God who knows and loves us like a father. God knows all about our lives and plans for us before we are even born. Read Jeremiah 1:5 and meditate on this verse. God knows everything about our lives, including the joys, the sin, the various trials, and our faith. The greatest thing in our lives is our faith in Jesus as our Savior.

I am amazed at the response of Peter when he saw Jesus walking on the water. Peter had stepped out in faith, but became filled with fear, immediately he called out to Jesus, who reached out His hand to save him. Jesus called him out on his lack of faith. Our faith in Jesus is greater than anything that causes us to fear. Faith needs to be practiced in our lives every day.

Pray and expect God to answer, but pray with faith and without doubt. James 1:5-6 God gives His wisdom to guide and strengthen us. Do not doubt; Trust and Obey!

Read and study God’s Word. Expect God will give you what you need through the Holy Spirit. Psalm 119:105 God is the light to our path in this fallen world.

Your brother in Christ,

Donnie Pohl
