WHO WE ARE

Our Vision:

The people of Rock Valley Chapel seek to be vessels of Christ-exalting joy, both to the stateline community and to the world, so that by God’s grace, “at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.”

(Phil. 2:10-11)

Our Mission:

To share the Gospel of Jesus Christ through biblical instruction, evangelism, discipleship, worship and utilizing every God-given spiritual gift and resource.

SERVICE OVERVIEW:

Rock Valley Chapel's Sunday Worship Service begins at 10:30 AM.
During the service there is childcare for babies and toddlers. All children are invited to join their family during the service. Children’s Sunday School is held during the worship service. Before the Scripture reading, children ages 3 through 5th grade are dismissed to Sunday School.

Worship

This is the time each week that will provide the opportunity for us to come together, meet God and learn about Him. We do this through a mixture of contemporary and traditional music, media, prayer, Scripture and a message from the Bible.

Offering

We do pass offering plates on Sunday mornings, however this is for people who call Rock Valley Chapel their church home and choose to give money back to God as an act of worship. God is the giver of all good gifts to us, and it is right and fitting that we also learn to be good givers back to God as we say “thank you” for His blessings and become involved in helping others know the love of God we are experiencing. If you are visiting, please do not feel obligated to give. We would simply love to have you join us.

Message

Each message is meant for us to better understand the Bible and our relationship to God and others – in a way that is relevant to our everyday life. We are currently in a series exploring the book of Amos, working through lessons through the 12 minor prophets.

Communion

We celebrate Communion together regularly, usually the first Sunday of each month. Communion is not restrictive and anyone who claims to follow the Lord Jesus as Savior is welcome to participate during this time of reflection, prayer and thanksgiving. The bread and juice that is served represent the loving and complete sacrifice Jesus made on the cross in dying for our sins.

Dress

Please feel free to come as you are when you join us at Rock Valley Chapel. We believe that a person’s choice to be at church is much more important than what that person chooses to wear. You’ll find a few people who are more dressed up, and others who are dressed more casually.

WHAT ABOUT THE KIDS?

At Rock Valley Chapel we love and appreciate children of all ages! We seek to provide a safe, clean and friendly environment for your kids to learn and enjoy.

As you enter the building, head down the hall to the right to find the nursery and toddler care areas. There your child will be welcomed by caring adults who will help them enjoy church as much as you do.

Children’s Sunday School is held during the worship service. Before the Scripture reading, all the children ages 3 through the 5th grade are dismissed to Sunday School.

During the service, nursery will also be provided! Because we recognize how valuable your children are, we do not just provide childcare. Our Nursery Ministry desires to provide a safe and nurturing environment for your child where his or her physical and emotional needs can be met while separated from you for a short time. We have separate rooms for Infants (birth – 18 months) and Toddlers (18 months – 3 years).

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
