The Elders at Rock Valley Chapel supervise the spiritual and organizational welfare of the Church and meet regularly for prayer, consultation and oversight of the Church’s ministries. In accordance with the By-Laws of Rock Valley Chapel, these Elders are publicly recognized as desiring to serve as Elders. They are men from the Church who meet the standards of the New Testament as stated in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. They have each been members of the church for at least two years and are deemed active participants in the life of the church.

Peter Richardson – CHAIRMAN

Peter is married to Arlana and they have three grown children. Peter teaches sixth grade at Fruzen Intermediate School in Beloit. He began attending RVC with his family shortly after the church was formed and has been active on the Elder Board. Peter’s greatest passion is to tell others how they can have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and then to help them grow in that relationship. His favorite passage from the Bible is from Revelation 4:6-11 because it gives us a glimpse of what Heaven is like and how it would feel to be in the presence of God.

Warren Beckes – VICE CHAIRMAN

Warren Beckes has been married to his wife Patty for 37 years. They have been blessed with 2 daughters. Warren is the Assembly Manager at Taylor Company. He and his family have been attending Rock Valley Chapel since 2004. He has served in several ministries such as buildings and grounds, youth Sunday school, hospitality, and has been blessed by the many growth opportunities at RVC including Discipleship Group, Ministry to Men, and Adult Sunday School He desires to be actively involved in the Three Circles of Discipleship (Learning, Teaching and Sharing) with at least one individual in each category. He enjoys the entire Word of God and yet has a favorite verse in Ecclesiastes 12:13.

Andy Carroll

This September, Andy will have been married to his wife, Melissa, for 26 years. They have 4 children, Kainah (James; 2 grandchildren, Eleanor, Oliver), Emily, Jennahvieve, and Joshua.  They have been at Rock Valley Chapel for around 8 years. He enjoys the summer Men’s Ministry (softball), as well as the rest of the Men’s Ministry. He enjoys watching his family grow, not only in size, but also in their walk with Christ, which leads to one of his favorite verses from scripture, 3 John 1:4, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth”. That, in itself, is an inspiration to him that God has provided him with enough discernment and guidance to overcome his own selfish desires and inadequecies and help direct His sheep towards eternity with their Savior.

Donnie Pohl

Donnie is married to Beth, father to three girls, and grandfather to seven. He has been a Rock Valley Chapel member for many years and has served on the Elder board. Donnie enjoys teaching Sunday School to the children, and working with the Awana program. He feels blessed to be able to preach occasionally. His heart’s desire is to be more like Jesus. To be a light for the gospel of Jesus Christ. My favorite verse is “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28, NKJV). God has shown me how He works with me, and how He has the best plan for my life when I follow Him. My prayer for the church is that everyone will be sanctified through reading and study of God’s word, and  be the Light into the darkness as Jesus called us to be.

John McCully

John has been married to Sarah since 1991, and they have been blessed with 9 children. He and his family have been attending Rock Valley Chapel since 2011. He is currently serving as the teacher for Adult Sunday School. By day he is a production manager at Unicarriers Americas. He enjoys reading about archaeology and history, and often applies that to his Sunday School topics. His favorite passage of Scripture is Mark 9:24.

Jeff Williams

Jeff Williams loves the Bible, which is God’s awesome word to us through the hands of many men.  The Bible should be read cover to cover many times over one’s lifetime.  His favorite passages are Psalm 118 and Acts 4:12.  He has a heart for Missions and has been a part of RVC’s Missions Team for several years. Jeff is married to Donette and they love to travel the country.  God has blessed them with a daughter, Bryanna Shear.  She and her husband just had a daughter, Jeff and Donette’s first grandchild! He is a member of the steamfitters and pipe fitters local 601 and has lived in Beloit for over 25 years.
