FROM ELDER DONNIE POHL:

While preparing God’s sermon for Sunday, I felt the leading of the Holy Spirit to express the need to be more Christ like and less like the world. I hope I was able to share my passion for Everyone to be in The Word daily, to study, to listen to the Spirit, and to be doers of the Word.

I would encourage you to read Ephesians 4:23-24. In this passage Paul tells us we need to renew our minds in the things of God through the Holy Spirit, so as to live our lives in a way that is holy and righteous for His glory. Reading God’s Word and meditating on it leads us to right living in Christ. Apart from it we have no chance of doing what God has called us to do. 1 Peter 1:13-16

In the troubling times we are facing, let us be drawn near to God and trust in Him. There are many things that we don’t understand, but the one thing we do know: God is in control. Let the wisdom we gain through God’s Word direct our path, not the fear of the world. Proverbs 4:24-27

My prayer for this church and all those that have trusted in Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior is to be the great light into the darkness we are called to be in the Bible. Others will be drawn to the message we can give them; Jesus loves them and died for them, to save them from the sin debt they are unable to pay on their own. They can receive the Joy and Peace in their own lives if they will accept and trust in Jesus.

Your brother in Christ,

Donnie Pohl
